Book of the Month: Read This if Your Workplace Has More Drama Than Housewives

I first heard about this book when I was speaking at a women’s leadership conference. I was chatting with a few CEOs prior to my session on salary negotiation, and one of them brought up this book. She said it shaped her approach to managing a team for a large, national brand.

The author outlines how to recognize and eliminate destructive thought patterns that we each have and how to eliminate the drama in the workplace by changing how we manage and lead our teams (and ourselves). If you’ve ever had a challenging relationship with your boss or coworkers, this book is a must read.

This was the first book pick for the Level Up Book Club, and my members loved it. They were immediately able to apply the lessons from the book to their specific workplace situations.

I made an Implementation Guide to go along with this book. This will help you think through your specific situation at work and apply the lessons from this book.
