Leaders Are Readers

Women are not promoted as frequently as men, according to a Yale University study that examined a large company's promotions.

What was particularly surprising was that these women had higher performance ratings on average than the men, but lower "leadership potential" ratings.

Which makes me think of a hard lesson I had to learn early in my career.

People's perceptions of you--even if incorrect--can make or break your career growth.

And some ways you can begin to establish a positive perception is to grow as a communicator and as a person of influence.

These are skills you can learn from reading the right books and practicing what you learn, as well as learning from other women's experiences.

I want to create a safe space for you to do just that.

So, I'm going to make it official and launch the Level Up Book Club for women. 🎉

Here's what you can expect when you join the club...

📚 New book selection each month that will help you advance your career. You'll be able to borrow it from your library or purchase it on your own.

📅 Reading plan so you can stay on track and fit reading into your busy schedule.

📝 Journal prompts that will help you reflect and apply what you've learned to your specific situations at work.

👥 Private Facebook community to discuss ideas and connect with other members at your convenience.

💻 Monthly Zoom call to have a deeper book discussion with a dash of career coaching.

We're going to officially start in February, and you can lock in the founding member rate of $7 per month if you sign up by January 30!
