Book of the Month: Read This if You Find Working with Others Challenging

Emotional Intelligence is critical to your success, both at work and in your personal life. This recommendation came my way from an entrepreneur who has built multiple seven-figure businesses during his career. He said it was instrumental in him building and leading teams, as well as building trust with customers.

What’s great about Emotional Intelligence is that it’s something that’s easy to learn, practice and improve these skills. You will notice a difference at work if you apply the lessons in this book, as the authors claim Emotional Intelligence skills are responsible for 58% of performance in all types of jobs. When you purchase a new copy of the book, it comes with a free assessment so you can identify the Emotional Intelligence skills you need to improve. This assessment can be taken twice so you can measure how much you’ve improved after practicing these skills.

This was the second pick for the Level Up Book Club, and my members enjoyed how easy it was to identify areas where they could work on their skills. Some started seeing immediate changes by making a few small adjustments.

I made an Implementation Guide to go along with this book. This will help you think through your specific situation at work and apply the lessons from this book.
