Birthday Week Bonanza: Weird Genius Birthday Tradition
I don’t work on my birthday.
In all my years, I only worked on my birthday once.
And it was because I started a new job 10 days prior, and I was pretty sure asking for a day off would’ve been frowned upon 🙃.
This tradition started when I was in elementary school. My parents allowed me to stay home from school on my birthday so I could spend the day with my Nana and Papa, who always came to town for my birthday week.
Shout out to my Mom and Daddy for letting me do that!
I didn’t fully understand it back then, but we all need time to relax and take a break from the everyday grind of life.
Whenever you see an opportunity to take a day off, my birthday wish for you is that you do!
While I can’t make your boss give you a day off, I can give you something else...
A crazy good deal on my latest workshop happening next month that will help you level up your networking skills!
You see, I believe your network is your net worth.
Have a strong network will be an invaluable resource whenever it’s time for you to search for your next job or find a support system as you work toward achieving your next goal.
But I find a lot of people don’t really know how to network.
They’re actually kind of lazy about it...
They think if they send some LinkedIn connection requests to strangers, send a few cold DMs and like a few posts that they have “networked.”
No, no, no... networking is all about building mutually beneficial relationships.
And that’s what I’m going to teach you how to do in our 60-minute workshop. We’ll go over:
✅ How to leverage your existing relationships (you know more people than you think).
✅ How to use LinkedIn to your advantage so you get thought of for opportunities.
✅ Where to make new connections.
✅ What to do after you make a new connection.
✅ How to develop and manage a reputation for being helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
This workshop will be recorded if you can’t attend live on Zoom.
This deal expires at 11:59 p.m. PT tonight!
Hope to see you next month for the networking workshop!
