Guest Blog: 11 Side Hustles I’ve Tried
Every now and then I'll test out side hustles to see if they are legit or not and report back. One's I've done in the past:
Mobee - Legit but sometimes not worth it.
Field Agent - Legit if you are out and about. Don't make special trips for this unless it's high paying.
Uber - Legit but requires a car and depreciation of your car.
DoorDash - Legit but same as above.
Mystery Shopping - Legit but you have to spend your own money, and you don't get paid until 30-60 days later typically. You do get reimbursed!
Ebay Flipping - Legit but have to spend your own money and it is not always a quick flip.
Digital Downloads on ETSY - Legit but need to have a good marketing foundation.
MRR (Master Resell Rights) - Legit but lots of gatekeeping and community building is necessary. Months and months of work go into this, and I would rather sell something of my own.
Data Annotation - Legit and no upfront costs get paid every 3 days.
Remotasks - Legit and no upfront costs.
MLMs (Multi-Level Marketing) - Can *sometimes* make money but the predatory practices give me big ick. Examples of MLM companies are Doterra Oils, Young Living Oils, Monat, Mary Kay and Scentsy.
